I was just wondering how everyone did going back to work?  My next dr. appt. is the 20th and want to go back the 21st.(yes, it's a Sat.)  My sister had this surgery three years ago, and she said it was really hard when she went back, and she didn't even make it the whole day, and she sits at a desk.  I stand on my feet, and walk and drive a truck all day (mail lady) so i'm wondering if 6 weeks will be enough.  I feel great right now and truthfuly can't wait to go back as I am sooooo bored right now.  How did you people do when you went back, especially if you have a physical job as I do.  Thanks for any input. Jo

My first week back I only did 4 hours and when that was done I was so tired. I am a cashier and on my feet and lift heavy items all day long. Good luck on your journey. Remember its one day at a time.

Hi Jo,    Make sure to keep your protein up when returning to work; it will help you not to get exhausted! I take a protein drink with me to work every morning! Also keep a bottle of water at your work station; and continue to sip, sip, sip. As we work we tend to dehydrate much more easily than we expect! Carry some quick fix protein snacks too. Best wishes to your sucess.. Good luck, Judy R

I, too, have a very physical job.  I was able to get back within 2 weeks but with lifting restrictions.  You will need to really listen to your body.  It will let you know if it's too much. Good luck to you! Jenn
