Hello everyone, It's been a week since my surgery (6/22) and I'm home.  I don't have internet at home so I couldn't write sooner, I am at the library.  Well everything is going well.  I haven't had any problems with nausea, throwing up...nothing.  I started walking a couple of days after surgery.  I am just starting to get most of my protein in...not quite there yet.  I do get tired quick, sometimes I am tired when I wake-up. I am still on the liquid diet, but can't wait to start the 2nd phase.  I don't get hungry too often but I would like to eat. (Is that head hunger?)  Well, I have to go now.  I return to work next monday then I'll give more details.  I missed being able to read and post to this website.  You guys really helped me with all the information you share.  Coodles!

Glad everything is going good for you.  I can't believe your going back to work allready.  I just asked people if six weeks if going to be enough.  I'm 4 weeks out, and I really haven't been hungry yet, hope I never am.  Take Care, and keep up the walking.

Glad to hear you are doing well:) I was only off for 2 weeks for work as well. Just take it easy and make sure you plan to rest at night your first week back to work. You will feel pretty tired. Also keep walking and that will help with you with energy - make sure and get your water in- if I do not get my water in I feel really bad and it will make you feel tired. Hope you have a continued great recovery! God Bless, Faith

Hi there Annette,    So glad your surgery went well! Welcome.. Just don't get to anixous and do to much to fast. Speaking from experiance. Follow your NUT advise; make sure to get in your protein and water. I have found an easy protein all ready in a can at GNC called 50 grand slam; lots of good flavors. I drink half at one time; and I mix a little lowfat milk to thin it out a little.  Best wishes to your sucess. You are going to be surprised at how much better you will soon feel.. Coodles back to you. Judy R

Annette,  So glad to hear that all went well!  I told you Dr. Kemmeter would take great care of you.  The tiredness will get better.  It takes time for your body to adjust.  Thanks for the update. Jenn
