I Have a...................DATE!!!

Hi everyone, I am soooooooooooooooooooo excited!!  My surgeons office called today and I am scheduled for the RNY on 7/24/07.  22 days from today on a Tuesday.  I asked for a Tuesday because I remember my grandpa (*****tired from Ford) said once....'you don't want to buy a car that's been built on a Monday because everyone is still under that weekend fog and you don't want one that's built on a Friday because the weekend is on everyones mind'.  He has been gone awhile so when that thought popped into my head a couple of weeks ago and I said 'Okay self, Tuesday it is"  LOL!  I wanted to share with you all because you all have shared so much with me.  I have copied and pasted your words, recipes, suggestions and wisdom.  It has been all of you who have helped me prepare for this and I want to say THANK YOU. Congrats Nicki,     Your life is about to change forever; and you have every reason to be excited. Welcome to the brighter side of the losers bench! I think your so right about Tuesday being luckier; had my RNY on a Tuesday! I am a little over 5 months post op; I am doing great and happier and healthier than I have been in years! Off 80 percent of my medications now!! No more diabetes meds.. Yeaaaa! Wishes you a safe and wonderful outcome to your surgery! Keep us posted.. Best Wishes, Judy R
