I stopped in at work today to pick up something, and one of my co-workers looks at me and said    "So, have you lost any weight yet?"  My surger was on June 5 and yes I've lost about 30 lbs.  I was hoping someone would notice, because I haven't yet, which is okay, because I feel it.  My clothes all fit better, Maybe when I lose 60 or so someone will notice.  I'm not saying it bothered me, I got a chuckle out of it.  Just wait until I lose it all, then she'll notice.  till then.........  I'll take losing the inches, and starting to feel comfortable in my clothes.  Have a great night.   JO

What's important is that YOU are proud of your accomplishments. you didnt do this for a co worker.  you did it for you. Just keep up the great work and next time bet 10 people say WOW! Stacey W

People didn't really start noticing with me until about 40-50 pounds, which surprised me, because I was a "lightweight."

But, wait until you have happen to you what happened to me yesterday.  I was moving something behind my house.  A neighbor stopped me, asked me what I was doing, where I was moving it to, and finally asked who I was.  She was so embarrassed, said, "Oh, my God, Marie, did you lose weight?"  Boy, did she make my day! You will be dancing all day long when that happens to you!

It took awhile for people to notice the change in me as well. But as long as you can tell a difference that is what matters. Please be cautious because there are alot of judgemental people out there that will say mean things to WLS patients. Dont let it get to you. Just remember that you did this for you and that you will do a great job!! Suzanne
