I Passed!!!

I probably should have mentioned this earlier this week but I didn't want to rain on Kevin's fantastic get together!

Anhow, I wanted everyone to know that I passed my two college classes I took for the summer semester!!  I got an "A" in College Survival Skills and a "B" in The Film as Art.  I was able to manage a 3.5 for the term and now my GPA is 2.318.  Slowly but surely I'm getting there!

I was only able to sell one of my books back to the college, and it was only because I hadn't written in it at all!  Macomb's Center Campus was only going to give me $11 for it but THEY called the South Campus and they would pay $26.25!  That was slightly less than half of what I paid for it.  The bad news was my most expensive book ($83) would not be used next term as a new edition was coming out.  They do not use this text at the other campus.  I've now got it up on eBay.

Now the wait begins.  I am just waiting for my award letter to come financial aid before I register for fall classes.  One of the classes is offered online, so I may consider taking that and either two or three more at the campus.  It just depends on what the financial situation is.  I'm now only 15 credits away from my AGS degree!!

And yes, I've been doing the happy dance, but not on Kevin's table last night....

Congrats.  I am still looking forward to meeting you on campus.  I am teaching Thursday nights in the fall.  What will your schedule be?

I was on probation, so I had to pay for these six credits I took.  Now that I've passed, I just have to wait for my award letter to see how much financial aid I'm eligible for.  That will determine how many credits I can take this fall.  There are several classes that do meet from 6pm-9pm.

Rhonda #1, Good Job!  I know it's hard....I'm 8 classes away from my Associates in Business.  I am going to try to cram in 12 credits in the Fall and 12 in Winter and just get it done. So proud of you for keeping with it!

Rhonda- One word of advice........online classes are VERY demanding!!!!!  I am taking a nutrition class and psychology both online at Macomb, and I am SO busy with only 7 credits.  If I had to choose again I would have chosen to take the classes on campus!  I am getting a's in both classes but it is SO hard....... Congrats on doing so well in your classes!

I took a  nut class online - the biology one and I passed with flying colors.  The online class I'm thinking about is Management 101.  Of  course, this decision is still up in the air.  It is a required course if I decide on going for my AAS in Applications Professional.  If I took it now, it would go toward my 15 credits for my AGS degree.  When I get that, I only need to finish the rest of the A.P. program requirements for a second degree.

Congrats to you. I am about 8 classes away from my BA in Business Mgt. Have you ever thought about Northwood? It' has excelerated courses that take 6 weeks at a time if you go to the classes. They are awesome with financial aid help. Just a thought for you, congrats again.
