First office pot luck - I made it through!!!

Thought this one was going to be tough.  One of the girls is retiring.   I planned accordingly, and made some ham rollups and low fat spinach dip, there were plently of fresh fruit and veggies.  I had no problem resisting any of it.    I am very proud of myself.   I passed up our favorite office pizza place, nacho dip, quesidillas, sweet bbq meatballs and oh my the desserts.  I thought is was going to be really hard.  Its the first time I have been confronted with that much food since surgery.    The other good point about it, is my ham roll ups and spinach dip are almost gone.  Everyone raved on how good they were.  Thanks to the cookbook put out by Barix Clinics, everyone had at least a couple healthy items for lunch.    Everyone wanted the recipe for the ham roll ups.   I am pleased all around.   It was a good day for me.

Pam, This was good training for the holidays wasnt it?  If you can resist now, by nov-dec it should be no problem.  It takes a lot of will power, and you definately have it.

Good for you Pam.  I've found that the low fat/no sugar things I bring are now more accepted by the employees.  Whenever I make something I always have to have copies of the recipe ready because people are asking for them.  Now if they'd just get rid of the doughnuts that they buy when the employees get their picture in the papers I'd be very happy.  It's very easy to turn those down though, I just think how sick I'd get eating them.

You did awesome. You should be very proud of  yourself. I dont have a problem being around that much food. My problem is being around all the people looking at what I'm eating.  Everyone does not know that I had WLS but even my mother will look at me sometimes and say thats all your going to eat (lol).....
