Hey Everyone,     I had my six month post op today; (2 weeks shy)! The said acording to thier records I am in the 49.6 percentile in my weight loss! Right on target for where I should be now. I have lost a total of 88 lbs. now; 27 before surgery. So total is since Dec 06! I am doing well; and they were impressed by how much exercise I am doing. I don't have to go back now until Jan. 08! Today they also made a fuss over me because I was in the bariatric flyer as well for the spring dance . I look way better now. LOL!     Another patient in the office who had only seen me before in my pre op apt told me I look great. After that others were staring; and we began a good discussion. In the end I felt like maybe I made someone feel a bit better about their descisions. I told all of them, not to let anyone discount their own accomplishments; and let no one tell them they took the easy way out! I wished them all the best of luck, and said hold your heads up high! See you all at the dance next year and we will boogie! Hurley does a spring dinner dance in Apr for their patients; and let me tell you it was a great time!!!     One small thing not going my way, slightly low on my counts of vitamin levels; but we can take care of that. I am off all but a very few meds; no more diabetes, no more B.P. meds, more energy than I have ever had in years. Happiness comes with hard work; but it is soooooo worth it! Best wishes to all my fellow friends and warriors.. Hugs, Judy R

Hey Judy, Way to go!!!!!!!   88 lbs in 6 months!!!  That is great!!!!  Does it seem like it was just yesterday that you had the surgery or has this part of the journey been easier than the WAITING FOR SURGERY part?  Remember - I'm gonna be asking you lots of questions!!!!  Keep up the great work and CONGRATS TO YOU  - LOSER!!! hahahaha

You are so right Cindy,    The waiting was getting to me way more than a hotdog at a piggy picinic! LOL>> And then the very beginning was a bit difficult as well; for instance with the two week pre op diet, the few complications I had, and then the EDG. I am so glad that is all behind me now! I still wish I were losing faster. My friend says you're crazy girl. Yep, I am! Have you gotten any good news? Met new doc at HBC yesterday; he seemed fine, I still prefer Dr Wagner. The journey to surgery was quite a lengthy one; fruaut with frustrations! Best Wishes to you. Thanks, Hugs, JudyR
