ohh yea protien bars ??
Hey Sherry!!
As you know I'm still pre-op at the time but I've been getting a few things to try later on and I've found several flavors in the Atkins brand and bought them at our local Wal-Mart of course! BUT not all of what they offer is "legal". Stay away from their "Endulge" line...unless of course you happen to find one that is ok to have in which case let me know!

I like the Q smart protein bars they sell at Barix or some Walgreens carries them.
Oh Yea! Protein bars are not that tasty to me- kinda bland.
Performance Protein bars (wafers) are much tastier and available usually at one of the sponsors to the left of this thread.
I got my Oh Yea at GNC - they were 1.99 each and that's pricey.

peanut butter cup & chocolate mint wafer bars are both good, I buy mine from eBay. I usually have them as treats. One stick in the am ( depending on which flavor, 90 calories & 1 gram of sugar, 14 grams protein per stick, 2 sticks per package) and the other later in the day, I adjust for the extra calories too.
These are 2 of the cheaper prices I've found online

I am not a doctor, nor do I play one on T.V.

Please, remember that before grabbing the flame thrower.

I use to eat the south beach diet bars, or also they have meal replacement bars?
But then I read the label. Carbs is about 26 grams per bar.
Which in turn causes a lot of gas.
But you have to try them all to find one that works for you .....
Atkins protein bars have lower carbs (the granola style protien bars) available in a nutty flavor and chocolate chip-- available at Target, Sams, and Walgreens, probably other stores too. 1 box of 5 runs about 6.00 and those were the ones I ate before I found the Q smart bars.
