jitters and nerves
Hi. I am scheduled this week Thursday for my surgery. I have been reading various posts regarding pre-surgery. Some people have done enemas and I haven't been told to do any of that? Also, I know everyone has tidbits of info that is helpful. I am bombarded with info from the nutritionist, but what are some good diddies to help once you come home? What is working for everyone within the first week or so. I am worried I am missing something or not going to have what I need on hand. lol... ok.. I really need my nerves calmed down..lol.... who has advice for this stressed out chickie?? thank you!
It's me again. I had Kevin Krause. This is no bowl prep for the surgery. Just nothing by mouth from midnight on.
When you get home, be sure to have protein drinks. I add 2 scoops of beneprotein to each drink to get in my daily allottment. sip sip sip.
All will be fine.
I'm 11 days out! Just had my 10 day check up and waiting for my blood results.
You'll be fine.

Congrats,
You are about to begin a new journey in your life! If you were not nervous that would be crazy! Best wishes to a speedy recovery; with skill to your surgeon.. Do you have your chewable vitamins? I use adult certrium adult chewables. Some very easy protein is GNC 50 grand slam; comes in a can ready to use. I drink half at a time; but I thin it down with lowfat milk. Lots of water after; but don't worry about not getting enough as long as you try. Sugar free popcicles are a lifesaver!
Yougart is another good thing. Make your enviorment a postitive one; don't listen to negatives (people or otherwise)! Have something to do to break your boredom of being home during recovery. Keep your doc or pa on speed dial for trouble. You are feeling anything that the rest of haven't, so relax a little.. Good luck, welcome to the losers bench, Sincerely, Judy R
