ANOTHER BAD NIGHT

HI EVERYONE, THUREDAY WAS FEELING VERY SICK AND HAD TO GO TO HARPER ER. WAS ADMITTED OVERNIGHT AND HAD CAT SCAN AND EGD FRIDAY AM, YEP ULCER IS BACK !! ALSO NEEDED TO HAVE POUCH OPENED A LITTLE,  I THOUGHT I HAD BEEN EATING REAL GOOD BUT I GUESS THIS ULCER WON'T GO AWAY !! SO I AM BACK ON PILLS AGAIN,  I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS ULCER PROBLEMS THAT CAN GIVE ANY OTHER INSIGHT TO GET RID OF IT FOR GOOD ?? THX  REBECCA

still exhausted with the mono and now i'm shaking in my boots!  one week from tonight is the wedding! 

Hi Rebecca...I just PM'd you!  I hope you're feeling better. Jay, I had mono when I was 15...it totally sucked.  I was falling asleep in class and just felt so bad.  My parents kept asking me if I was on drugs!  I missed 2 months of school after they finally figured out what was wrong with me.  I know how bad you must be feeling!   I hope you can use this week to recover and get ready for the wedding.  How's Mel feeling?

I think she's tired and stressed out.  There's been a lot to get done and my being ill hasn't helped.  :-( Dr. S told me to start taking zinc to boost my immunity system and i think it's starting to work, i am still exhausted and just want to sleep but am feeling a bit better today.  I've been getting some stuff done, but not enough, we leave on thursday morning for Cleveland and then it's a done deal, friday is our rehearsal and saturday night is the wedding at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! 

i know that once you hit the alter and i do it will be worth it !!!

altar?  we bow at the feet of the rock and roll Gods!  lol.  It's a secular wedding at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.  no alter.  we're actually getting married on stage where the bands perform!  woooooooooot!  it seems appropriate as we're both of different religions (although probably share pretty much the same faith) and we are both enormous freaks for rock n' roll.  Boogie Fever was just a dance trial, there will be no disco at this party!  Rock all the way. 

Hi Rebecca,     I also had an ulcer & stricture; sorry I know it is miserable! I ended up in hopital for 3 days on my b-day with the thing. Had to have IV's and potassium; if you ever have to have potassium make them put lidocane in with it for pain killer burns like crazy in your viens!     Here's what worked for me; these were liquid meds, carifate and regalin. And then the yogart that gives us good bacteria in our tummies. Go back to very easy basic's with your eating; and get your protein up it promotes healing. I did protein drink 50 grand slam from GNC, half can at a time. Grand Slam not bad tasting and easy to deal with even with the ulcer! I would think that pills may agarvate your ulcer! They told me it can take 6 months or longer for ulcer to go away. Also did they test you for the bacteria H-pylori; keep ulcer going??? Good luck, hoping your feeling better soon. Judy R

Hey Judy.. I was just diagnosed with H Pilori.. It was found in my blood but not in the stomach biopsy they took.  I have to have 2000 IU if Vitamin D.. What was found in the biopsy was that I have cronic gastritis.  I now have to take Prolosec daily.  Dont know how I have gastritis.. I dont even have heartburn.  I took Naproxin for every ache and pain that I wanted to treat with meds, and I have to stop taking that now, and take tylenol...Wonder if the H pylori will ever leave... I hope it is not holding up my surgery... Thanks for listening...
