I MADE IT!!

Hey everyone...I'm home now.  I feel like I have just done 10,000 sit-ups.  Today I feel funny in the new pouch, like it is full.  I dont know what that means.  But over all I am doing great.  I cannot walk very much, my knee is killing me, and my legs are starting to retain water again.  I cant wait until I can start taking lasix again to feel normal.  I did ALOT of work two days before surgery, and that is most likely why my knee is out of commission.  They have me on liquid Vicodin, and that does not even cut the pain for the knee but works on the stomach pain.   I sure hope this is all worth it.  I keep telling myself it will be.  I can get my 4 packs of protein in, but cannot get all the other 64 oz oz of liquid in.    I'm doing my best.. Plugging along.. I cannot wait to see some results....I took some pics at the HOS, but dont know if I have enough courage to put them up until I see some DEFINATE change. I think that is it... Thanks Jodi

Ooooohhh!!  I just PMed you to see how you were doing.  Sounds very normal.  I had a knee issue right after surgery also.  Keep in mind, it will get sooooooooo much better.  You are doing awesome!  The liquids are the hardest part and I still have issues with getting them all in.  Just keep trying.  Good to hear from you! Congratulations...I'm glad things went well.  Just keep plugging...it took me a good week to get in five packets and I still can't get all the fluid. Keep up the good work!!

Congrats!  Glad things went well and you're at home recovering.  Pain will be gone before you know it (I lived of that liquid Vicadin for a week!)  The first couple weeks you'll feel like all you're doing is eating/drinking.  It gets better and gets more into a routine, don't worry.   You're doing great, the more you walk the better you'll be (I know, I know, the knee).  Like KP told me, fart a little (or a lot) it'll make you feel better! --Sax

Jodi!!! Congrates on your surgery and welcome back! I'm glad to hear everything went well. Sorry to hear about the knee and leg pain, but just think in a year how different that will be! :-) Sorry I didnt get back to you before you went to surgery. But I'm so glad you are doing good! Welcome to the losers bench!!  Sara

I am glad that you made it through okay and are surviving this time. The first 6 weeks are always the hardest so just think about how you will look when the weight melts off. Suzanne
