I personally chose Dr Michael Wood in Warren for my surgeon,he's wonderful and has done over 4,000 RNY and that is all he does.
Good Luck in your quest

The scale can measure the weight of my body but never my worth as a woman. ~Lysa TerKeurst author of Made to Crave
There are a lot of us who have gone through MMPC and have nothing but raves to say about the doctors and staff. You might want to consider how many pre-op visits and post-op visits you have to make to decide if you want to drive to Ypsilanti or even Lansing (unless you love to drive). Try going to some support groups that MMPC holds or look on the OH website under support groups and locate one close to you. You can ask lots of questions and talk to people who have just had surgery and those that are out some length of time. They are very informative and helpful. Also, do your homework and read everything you can. There is a lot of good info on this site (check the main pages for that). You have to remember that this involves a lifestyle change. Yes, the surgery will work pretty much by itself for the first 6 months but after that you have to have your brain trained so you don't go back to your old habits or you will regain the weight. I am so glad I had the surgery, I've lost over 140 pounds but I also am glad that I know what I have to do to to keep the weight off.
