It takes 3-4 weeks to get your surgery date......keep calling them - it works to be a pest. I had medicare and I called them and called them. The surgery scheduler may be off for the Christmas holiday. MMPC is the best around and all their Doc's are super.

Best wishes

I guess I dont have any good advice, but for me every thing went fast ... bam, bam, bam and now I am almost 3 months out...I was extremely shocked how fast it went.  From the beginning (WL seminar) to on the operating table it was one day shy of 3 months.  I was extremely lucky.  To get approved for the surgery it took two days.  Priority Health works extremely close with MMPC and takes no more than a week to get an answer.  I was ecstatic when I got the call!! IT wont be long, maybe it is taking longer because Mecicare are dragging there feet for some reason.. It will be here before you know it...

Deborah, I know what you mean.  I have been waiting just to get my appt with Dr. Foote ok'd.  I am hoping my PCP is writing a really great letter to Priority Health so we can get the ball rolling.  I will have to read it and write my own before we send it in. I have been trying to keep myself distracted in any way I can.  I hope you can do the same.  Otherwise your going to go nuts. LOL  I am thinking about you and hoping your time passes quicker. Laura

I had to see the nut and psyc eval before my insurance would okay me.  Then after they sent everything into the insurance company, the wait began.  Once I got approval (It took a long time-I had to appeal for VSG) they set up my surgery for about 5 weeks or so after.  The group nut, exercise guy and PA appts are all on the same day, 2 weeks preop.  They will set it up for you all in one afternoon.  I didn't have to wait 10 minutes between the nut/exercise guy and the PA.  Then  you need to go at 1 week preop to see the internist, and get blood work done.  Everything waits for the approval, then I think it goes pretty quick. Hang in there.  I am already one month post op--this month went so fast!! Martha
