The rest of the story:
The eagle flies on Friday, but Saturday I go out to play.
Sunday I go to church where I kneel down and pray.
And I say, "Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy on me. Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy on me. Just trying to find my baby, won't you please send her on back to me."
The eagle flies on Friday, on Saturday I go out to play. The eagle flies on Friday, on Saturday I go out to play. Sunday I go to church, where I kneel down, Lord and I pray.
Then I say, "Lord have mercy, won't you please have mercy on me. Lord, oh Lord have mercy, yeah, won't you please, please have mercy on me. I'm just a-lookin' for my sweet babe, so won't you please send him home, send him on home to me." Enough wind and driving rain right now that it woke up an indoor cat. Be safe, everybody. From our local "fishwrap" newspaper:

Severe thunderstorm**** mid-Michigan Monday night, producing high winds, huge hail, spectacular lightning, and knocking out power across a wide area.
And from WZZM-TV 13 in Grand Rapids:

The calendar reads January, but spring-like storms rumbled across West Michigan Monday night leaving thousands in the dark.
Consumers Energy says as of 6 a.m. Tuesday 12,000 customers statewide were without power, mostly in Montcalm and Isabella County where a transformer failed. At the peak of the outage there were more than 22,000 without electricity.
In greater Grand Rapids only 4 households without power. Consumers Energy estimates the lights should be back on by 7 a.m. Tuesday.
I reside in Isabella county...........
Thanks for the heads up- but I lost internet and phone and cable at about 731pm last night and had no warnings other than the sirens. Other than 90 percent of Mount Pleasant being without power, I and my neighbors are fine. It was horrendous. Not my first 'tornado' either. Back in 1999 I was in GR and went thru a storm that produced 140mph straight line winds that did over 2 thousand dollars worth of damage to my car from flying debris.
This morning we are on generator at work, (in broadcasting- what else is there?) and the majority of the main strip on Mission is BLACK as can be.
Fortunately, I had power so made it into work this morning at 6am.
Just learned campus is closed - unless they do classrooms in the dark (that could be interesting!)
Thanks for the heads up- often when a storm may be coming or is close- I lose internet, cable and phone and it's still down and NO telling when it will be restored.
Stacey in Mt Pleasant ----------thanks!
