Question for you post-op MMPC'ers!
Hello! I was just wondering if anyone can give me any insight as far as what to expect tomorrow at my loooong appointment?? Apparently this appt. is required for all pre-opers 2 weeks prior to surgery (and tomorrow will be 2 weeks until surgery). I think I am meeting with the nutritionist/dietician? Is that it?
Any words of wisdom?!?!? ANY??
~Katie
I am pretty sure you will be meeting with the surgeon and you will have a group meeting with the dietician and get your two week foods for before and after surgery.
You will be on MMPC products for both the two weeks before surgery and two weeks after. Be prepared to shell out around $630 for this pre-packaged food ...it also covers your dietician and exercise visits for a year after your surgery.
Your information should have outlined all of this. Be sure to read it carefully.

Done! Your Ticker:
It's been a while for me, but I remember being in a group setting and meeting with the exercise therapist, dietician and the physician's assistant.
The exercise therapist (Andy, who is awesome) will go over some exercises that you can start now that will help you. He's very good about working around physical difficulties.
The dietician will go over the two week pre op diet and help you select your food for the next month.
The physician's assistant will lead you through the entire hospital process so you know what to expect.
You will then meet individually with the physician's assistant who will go over any questions you may still have and will do a pre op check up.
Whew! That is all I remember.
Good luck to you!
Ditto what Jenn said.
You won't see the surgeon until your surgery, then at your 2 week post op appointment.
The day went pretty quickly because you see the three (nut, exercise physiologist, and PA) in a group setting, then you will see the PA one on one. They will give you handouts and lots of info to read while you are waiting for your one on one.
Good luck!!
