had my surgery last tuesday......  came home on Thursday...Dr. Baker was unable to do a full RNY, so they did a sleeve...they were unable to reach the intestines without making it an opensurgery, which would have meant that i would be cut open from sternum to below bellybutton...(OUCH)...in a few years if they need to, they can go back in and do rest of RNY.... im doin ok, but they cut one of my lap's muscles wider to remove the 85% of my stomach they took out..... and its REALLY tender...cant sit up straight just yet, and cant bend over for ****lol im in pain sittin here at the computer, but i wanted to let everyone know i made it ok !!!!!!

I am so happy for you.  How lucky you were to have an experienced doctor who could do another procedure right in the middle of another.  Now that is amazing.  I hope you feel better soon and dont forget to keep us posted.  K?

Hey Jen! I'm glad to hear that you are ok.  I was getting worried. I think if I had it to do over again, I would have the sleeve.  I've met several people who had it done and have done wonderfully.  I think you are going to do great. Dr. Baker is one of the best in the world at high risk surgery.  You were lucky to have him. Keep us posted on your progress.  Try to remember that it gets better every day. Jenn
