I went last year and to be honest other than being able to meet some from this board it was not worth the time spent. It would be better if there was time spent on post-operative issues and possible having some break out sessions for group discussions. Instead it is basically a sales presentation for plastics and certain surgical practices.

I went last year and enjoyed it tremendously.  I did enjoy seeing/hearing about plastic surgery.  I did learn a lot.  I guess you get out of it what you want.  I used a lot of the vendors samples for my group and it did give me a place where things could be ordered if we wanted to.  I enjoyed hearing from Jeremy and Bo and participating.  The best part was meeting some of the people I had conversed with here on the boards. You can't beat $5.00 or even $20.  Heck, they feed you and lunch would cost that much there.  I guess it's all in what your expectations are as to what you get out of it.

That's true Anne Jeremy & Bo were interesting.. For me though I still maintain aside from meeting those on this board  the nearly 100 mile drive was not worth it, again FOR ME. For the amount the gas will cost me and the price of a ticket I can buy a great lunch close to home. As far as vendor samples.. I guess I didn't see much of those. I did see some things being advertised towards the docs for pain management but other than that I do not recall anything useful to me.

If you have time, look back on old posts (the last two weeks or so) we've talked about this and some of us have given our opinions of what went on last year. You may enjoy it as a pre-op.  I am SHOCKED that they would have the nerve to charge $50 at the door for something so entirely lame.   I do not know what is planned for this year, but last year was IMHO a waste of time.  I also am wary of the fact that OH will not give any details of how it will be different from last year and did not respond well to constructive criticism of last years' event. It is at a different location than last year, but the lunch last time wasn't good, you didn't get any kind of a choice of what to eat or drink.
