Sorry I didn't post over the weekend.  I spent the weekend in Clare at the St. Patty's Fest.  I actually did the 5K (3.1 miles) run on Saturday.  I couldn't run the whole thing, but I ran most of it and walked when I needed a break.  I finished in 36 mins.  It was a huge accomplishment since I would never even dreamed about it 18mos ago.  Honestly, I haven't exercised since Saturday.  My legs are still a little sore.  My plan is to walk/run again tomorrow.  I wanted to give my body a little recovery time.  What did you do this weekend and today? Kelly,t You have to help me out here.' I have been training for the River Run in Grand Rapids in May I thought(which is a problem when I start thinking) that a 5k was 3.6 miles) so I have been running 4.2 miles to make sure I had the endurance to do it. I was up to 4.2 minutes, so I would be ready by May 10th..(plus we have a run down in my area called the run through Pergutory that is all hills and backwoods area shortly after.) It is fantastic that you completed it, but I am almost afraid of the answer. Is it really only 3.1 miles? Should I start going to a bar and drowning my ignorance in not realizing the difference? ( I was listening to my husband/ Congrats on finishing. I was not planning on running the whole way and now I am almost afraid that I might start slacking on my workouts, so maybe "lie' to me and tell me that it is 3.6 miles.(just kidding) Amy in Sturgis.

Hello Amy!  Don't be discouraged and start slacking.  A 5K is 3.1 miles.  Have a goal that you finish in a certain amount of minutes.  It is great that you are already running 4.2 miles.  Good job and keep it up.  I might come down for that run too.  Talk to you soon! Kelly

It is different for everyone.  I have blue cross, so i needed the supervised diet time.  My bmi is 39, so they really want me to stay in the program.  I am just now starting to push for the psych eval and such and they are working with me.  (I do have the comorbids and I am eliglible)
