Thanks all for the replies from my previous post. The info did help.

This site came up during our nutrition portion of the day and I must say it is a popular place. Good to know there is support when family is not around.  smooth sailing from here. The risk and sacrifices are worth the rewards. The fact that 1/2 my meds will be gone and, in time, no more Darth Vadar sleep mask is worth all this alone, the weight loss is just a kicker!!! thanks to all again doing the happy dance now!!!!

Anne, I couldnt tell from your profile when your surgery is scheduled, is it Tuesday?  Which surgery are you having?  I had the RNY and though I was scared to death, it was totally worth it to me.  good luck to you.

Having the RNY on Tuesday! I am anxious for the surgical part, but extreemly happy to be getting on with the rest of my life. I have been in a holding pattern with this for a few years. Are you still losing or on maintenance? How long did it take you to loose the weight.? Was it difficult to go from full liquids to pureed to solid. That is my biggest fear.... not chewing well enough and getting food stuck or something horrid like that.
