hi my name is amy, im fairly new to this board. i had my lapband surgery done march 4 and im am soooooo happy i did it!! ive lost 14 lbs so far and im on my way to more. i have 3 kids and married. i was diagnosed with rheamatoid arthritis after my last son was born 2 yrs ago and i was to where i couldnt barely walk around my house my knees hurt so bad. so i decided enough was enough and i was doing something to prevent the pain and stiffness. ive been heavy all my life and the smallest ive ever been is 240. i want to lose 150 at least for now is my goal. but anyways. i would really like anyones input on the fills? what happens? does it hurt? do they numb you or give yo uanything? just a lil heads up on what to expect!! well thanks and i hope to meet some new friends on here that would like to keep in touch and maybe chat once in a while. i could use some support friends. i have yahoo and aol messenger so if you want to keep in touch let me know and ill give you my names on there. god bless and good luck to all!!!

You will be in and out and fast as he can get in the port. and it does not hurt  , they numb it up.. so you don't feel it .  Hope this helps
