Thursday Morning Coffee - Its a Good Day

Good Morning Everyone in OH Land, I am so excited that its One Day closer to the Weekend.  I MAY have a few *things* planned.... I am sipping flat diet squirt, mmm, breakfast a wls patient can be proud of!  But I will drink my protein when I get to work today. How 'bout You?  What are you up to Today????? Belinda

Hey Randy! I am going with a few people from this board to Ann Arbor to have some fun and relax a bit.  I certainly need to let loose.

I'm sitting here this morning soaking up the quiet of the house as of yet. Sipping away at my folgers classic roast and watching the sun creep up over the river flats from my window. I love this time of day.

Not much happening here today just still healing and taking things slowly. I'm still not used to this slowly part but you gotta do what you gotta do right?

Hope you all have a wonderful day and the rain some how misses us this weekend I for one so want to be outside enjoying some nice weather for a change.

Morning everyone .....had a bad night of pain and was up from 3am until ........well, now.  The Lortab isn't working and I'm in an untolerable pain level now so I'll have to call Dr. DiNick today and request something else.  It's also making me very nauseous.   I didn't sleep much at all last night...... Shannon is off to work right now and said to tell the "morning coffee Peeps" hello and good morning........ I'm going to go back to bed and try to sleep before I call Dr. DiNick.  I not only feel bad but Shannon said I looked tired as hell.  (I probably got 2 hours sleep last night) Hope everyone has a nice day- looks cloudy and rainy here. Hi there Stacey.  I am new to this whole thing so I hope I am doing this right.  I live in Charlotte MI so we arent too far.  2 things caught my attention with your last post.  First is your letter closer, I too have horses!  10 Gypsy Vanners in fact.  Fun Fun.  And the second, why are you in so much pain?  I am to the point now where I am waiting for approval from my ins co.  But looking forward to having surgery in June.  I am pretty nervous about it.  Every time I talk to my surgeon he aliviates my fears, but I still would like to chat with others about how they feel post op. 

I didn't have RNY or LAP, this was a reconstructive scar revision on my abdomen and back.  And it can be painful at times.  As for the WLS -- I don't recall there being much pain other than the staples coming out.  I had open RNY.  All my doctor offered at the time.  That may answer your question. Morning, Belinda.  I get into bad habits by not eating breakfast.  I am not an early morning breakfast eater, but getting up at 5AM kinda forces me to be.  So, I had 1/2 an egg salad sandwich this morning on my way to work.  Had my Starbucks at home this morning.  Sitting at my desk waiting for the kids to be let into the building, so I can do lunch count and attendance.  HERE THEY COME!  It's like a flood....the noise starts out small and GROWS as they come down the hall......and take over!  LOL!  Have a great day, all! Oh...Belinda...can't wait for Saturday night!  We'll have fun....I hope!
