So it's been 364 days since my first doctors consult (roughly 10 months since surgery) and today I completed my first ever race.  I was hoping to do it in under 30 minutes and meet my goal @ 28:30.  To celebrate I road 25 miles on my bike a couple of hours later.  Last year at this time I couldn't walk 1/2 mile let alone do what I did today. Life is great! --Sax

That's a great accomplishment, Saxman. It's worth going through the hoops and whistles to get the surgery done. Jeanne

Quit now before you go broke! I'm kidding of course. Great Job! I had a fun time writing a letter to my surgeon and physiologist complaining that I was going broke on running clothing, cycling clothing, equipment and laundry costs. I also had fun complaining that I was having to consult with my PCP, orthodic specialists, knee specialists, physical therapists, etc. saying that I'd been to see about three times as many medical professional post-op than pre-op. Hilarious. Here's why: http://mikeingr.motionbased.com I run/bike with a bunch of different folks locally, at work and sometimes state/region. Drop me a line if you'd like to be on our email list. Is there one here? I should look. Are you running Crim or the Detroit Marathon?
