too much protein???

I have been trying to map out my post-surgical meal life and a I was wondering if here is such a thing as too much protein?? My HMR shakes have 70g per pack (140%) and I have pro-cal pack with 15g and my Lactaid skim milk has 6g per 8 ounzes, I normally mix these up together for an awsome tasting shake. Should I drink that much at once?? Plus I am still hungry and these are supposed to be meal replacements. They make about 3 cups of shake. Any pointers???

You can eat to much Protien your doctor should tell you your requriments your body needs. If your still pre-surgery your stomick will keep sending you a sign to eat even if the required grams of protien are eatting.What you are talking about is head hungery ... This should slow down after your surgery. Hope this helps. I think it right 

Your Bypass only allows some much absorption over a certain amount of time. For each of us it is different. Since you have to release food into your system manually by eating slow and chewing till a paste you regulate how much you get. There are guidelines but you adjust as needed. Any more you will just **** it out so it is a waste. Mix some berries into the shake to make it awesome tasting. You will beat the hunger. 27 grams an hour is about right for me. 7 grams of sugar and hour is my max 32 grams of carbs a day maintains my weight and I adjust if I start losing again. Craving are your body's memory for getting what it needs. Potato chips for instance fill the craving caused by salt missing in your diet because your body remembers. Unfortunately it is also bad for you. I tried it once. When a hankerin for a chip**** spilled a little salt on my tongue and 5 minutes later no craving. It wasn't hunger,,,,just a want for something and I beat it. Your hunger may be your body memory telling you that you are low on something. Are you taking your vitamin supplements?
