Bummed with major confusion!!!!!!!
I had my 2 week post surgery check on July 10. I was so excited to finally get to eat some actual food again. Since then, I have not been able to lose any more weight. I'm stuck. Why has the weight lose stopped? Does reintroducing food to you system put it in that much of a shock to not lose more weight? Please, I am looking for advice and possible explanation on what is happening. I had the sleeve done on June 27 and this is where I am now.
It doesn't have to do with introducing new food at all. A short stall at the 2 week point is COMPLETEY NORMAL. Your body didn't gain weight every single day on your way up to your highest weight and it won't lose weight every single day on the way down. Your body needs to take a break once in a while and readjust to what's going on - it's just taking a breather.
So relax. Keep following the plan your surgeon gave you. Keep exercising. Keep drinking your water and getting your protein. Stay off the scale for a while (you should only be weighing once a week anyway). Things will move soon enough.

The scale can measure the weight of my body but never my worth as a woman. ~Lysa TerKeurst author of Made to Crave
My doctor said to expect to lose a LOT of weight the first two weeks.....it's mostly water. They pumped you full of fluids in surgery, AND you have been eating high protein, so both situations cause you to lose water (pee a lot). It takes about 2 weeks to get the water out....now the weight you will lose will be fat.
