a few pics from this weekend
DH and I went to a wedding this weekend in Lansing. We had a great time! This was my first social event since surgery. I was a little nervous (only the bride and groom know about my surgery. I didn't know anyone at my table...DH was a groomsman so of course he was seated at the head table). I had a high protien snack before dinner so I wouldn't be starving. I went through the buffet line even though I wasn't hungry so that no one would question me about whey I wasn't eating. I mostly just poked around at my chicken breat and steamed veggies. No one seemed to notice. By then we had good conversation going and I mostly talked while they ate :-)
We played golf Saturday morning then partied like it was 1999 until about 1am. I have never danced
so hard in my life...not even at my own wedding. DH said he's never seen me like that and kept asking what had gotten into me. I guess I just have new found confidenceand energy.
BTW...this is also the first time I have ever worn a sleeveless dress in my adult life!
