I can go a little bit longer without food. Not much of a problem but I want coffee so bad I have headaches that come and go and I'm feeling about it. I know decaf is supposed to be the way to go but come on.  Has anyone had a really bad reaction to coffee (5+)  days post op.

Sorry about that last question. I just entered coffee on the OH search and there are more than enough perspectives on the coffee issue..

I knew coffee would be an issue for me so I started weaning myself off it about 2 months before surgery.  One month before surgery I gave it up completely.  I didn't even switch to decaf... just cut it out.

So now that you're post-op..... you'll just have to work through the withdrawls and try to get through it.  I'm sorry.  No easy asnwers.

Thank you for your response. I think you may be correct. My headaches have begun to ease up. I have become free of several habits as a result my wls.

Why go back?
