difficult night. do I call the surgeons office?
I had a rough night and I am curious. I had bypass surgery on 8/26, no problem others than a infected suture which is getting better everyday and hormones in overdrive...
My lower abdomen burned a little and I have been having slight pain in my right shoulder for the past 2 days.
Question: Does this sound like an issue I should call my Dr. about?

Do you still have a drain tube in?
I doubt it this far out, but mine caused extreme shoulder pain.
Once it was pulled out, the pain disappeared.
In any event, I would call the doctor.
~ I am the proud wife of a Guatemalan, but most people call me Kimberley
Highest Known Weight = 370# / 59.7 bmi @ 5'6"
Current Weight = 168# / 26.4 bmi : fluctuates 5# either way @ 5'7" / more than 90% EWL
Normal BMI (24.9) = 159#: would have to compromise my muscle mass to get here without plastics, so this is not a goal.

Not to be alarming, but I also had shoulder pain a couple of months after RNY surgery. Turned out to be a hematoma (pooling of blood) in my abdomen and the pain reflected up into the shoulder. I also didn't even mention the shoulder pain to my doctor b/c it didn't seem relevant. Just goes to show you that we should mention everything, just in case.
