Northern Michigan Support Groups?

Hi,

I just moved to Northern lower Michigan and need to get plugged into a surgery support group.  My local hospital only allows their patients to participate, so I'm not allowed to attend.. Help!

Where in Northern  Michigan did you move to There are groups around , But Michigan is a big state and you don't have to drive 100 miles to get to one...lol

Oh yeah... ha ha... that would be helpful!  I'm in the Traverse City area, but I don't mind driving a bit if necessary!

There is a group that meets at the MCHC building the first monday of the month I am not sure what time it may be at 7pm anyone is welcome.  I have not been there in a while and I am going to start again I am also in TC so if welcome to the area.  Tricia

Thanks!  Maybe we could challenge each other to start going.  Do you have a phone # for MCHC where I can get more info?  Where on the hospital campus do they meet?

There is a group in Traverse City.  Try putting this name in a search.  She was the leader last year.  spraguerl 

I also sent her a message to contact you but I don't know if she'll see it or not.  You can email me and I will give you her real name and maybe you can find her in the phone book or by calling MMPC in Grand Rapids and they can put you in touch with her.

I just wanted to let you know, unless they changed the day it is on the second Monday of the month.  There should be one next monday at Munson Community Health Center, anyone is welcome.

What time?  Where exactly?  I know where Munson hospital is, but I drove by the community health clinic on front street the other day.  Is that the location?

Munson Community Health Center is the one on Munson Ave. , the meetings are at 7pm.  You go in the lower level by Urgent Care and go to the right and go past the caffeteria down the hall are some conference rooms.  That is where we will be.  Hope to see you there.
