Doctors in Saginaw area

Hi,

  Does anyone know if there is a doctor in or near Saginaw/Flint area that does the VSG surgery?  I am looking for my son as I had a VSG a year ago in Florida.  I know how much help he will receive here on the boards.  He lives in Midland MI so we are looking for a doctor near by.  Thanks.

I don't know of any in this area off-hand.  I know there's a brand new bariatric program at Covenent in Saginaw... but they are too new for me to really recommend that anyone get surgery there.  I doubt they do the VSG.  Hurley is in Flint, but they don't do VSG that I know of -- but it might be worth a call (click on my surgeon's name and their contact info should be there).  

You may want to check the MMPC practice in Grand Rapids -- although they are currently going through a split, I think.  Not sure who you'd call for info.  Maybe one of the MMPC folks here can answer that question.

 Oops!  I just noticed you're still in FL.  Guess coming to the meeting on Wednesday would be kind of a long commute.  :-)  Your son is still welcome to join us though!

If you son is open to it, I would highly recommend Dr. Foote and Kemmeter in GR. I can get you their new phone number. They have a wonderful staff and the hospital where surgery takes place is great as well.
