Whats for Lunch?

I am kinda stuck in a rut, and nothing sounds good.  Working at the Mall doesn't help with food court bad options readily available.

I brought some progresso chicken barley soup, and pineapple chunks and some Dannon lite and fit for my afternoon snack.

Whats on your plate?

Today's a training day at work, so me and the other pregnant lady at work decided we needed BK.  A Whopper Jr., no onion it was.  YUM!

Sounds better than my soup.  Now I remember why it was still sitting in my desk drawer uneaten.  - YECK!!!!!

I had a piece of chicken from last night (leftovers) fried in olive oil with bread crumbs, seasoning, and flour. And some parmesan noodles... I ate more of the chicken than anything it was soooo yummy... I am heading back to work soon... to sit and be bored since we are sooo slow this time of year.. Thank God I have a second job now!!!

I had 4 pieces of turkey breast lunch meat, a piece of provolone, and 8 soy chips.  It took me forever to eat it too.  Honestly I don't know how everyone keeps up with eating and drinking all day long.  I feel like it is a full time job.  I don't even have a job I stay at home and my son is in school full time.  I feel like I am a new baby.  LOL

For morning snack I had peanut butter yogurt dip with rice cake and for lunch I had a Weigh****chers Smart One Chicken Parm.   The snack was better than the lunch!

I had a doctor's appointment this morning, so I didn't bring my lunch to work like normal.  I had McDonald's today.  Southwest Chicken Salad (grilled chicken, of course).  I eat all the chicken and about 1/3 of the salad.

I made one of Eggface's casseroles this weekend and have it packaged up into individual serving containers .... so lunches for the rest of the week are already planned out.  The casserole has chicken, summer squash, mushrooms, onions, sweet potatoes and a saw of TGIF's artichoke dip and salsa... topped with cheese.  It's hearty and packed with protein.

That sounds great.  I need to go back out to her websites, and start cooking for myself on the weekends.

I have to admit, Pam.  I have not been eating as I normally do, since I got pregnant.  I am 3 and a 1/2 months along.  I've lost 10 pounds since Sept. 27th and I feel like I've been eating everything in sight (in reality, I haven't!).  But my normal fare, of salad and chicken (a typical meal for hubby and I because we love salad) makes me sick!  I've been struggling with the "taste" of food.  I recently discovered that egg salad goes down really well and tastes good.  I couldn't even stand the taste of the turkey on Thanksgiving.  Hubby is telling me to "eat it, if that's what you want!"  So, we have had pizza at least once a week for the past month (sometimes twice a week).  Granted it's thin crust and I can only eat a small slice or two, but still.  Foods that I normally ate, pre-preg, taste plastic-y or metallic.  But a Whopper Jr., tastes great.  Go figure!  Tomorrow's lunch is going to be egg salad!

It's weird, tho.  I haven't had any morning sickness, but the food aversion has been nearly as bad.  I have cried some nights because I couldn't eat what I know I should be eating!  So, I do what I can and know that the baby is growing as it should be (actually a little bigger than it should be).  The OB monitors my bloodwork closely and all is well!
