Postop Diarrhea??

   I am nearly 2 weeks postop from my RNY.  Each day is getting better, but I have been bothered by persistent diarrhea on an almost daily basis.  Sometimes just 2-3 times a day, sometimes sporadically throughout the day.  I work from home and am very grateful for that - I can't imagine leaving the house for an extended period of time right now.

Is this a common problem?  From experience, does anyone have some good advice on how to reduce/eliminate this?  Is it just related to the stage I am at - right now I am on pureed foods. 

I am starting back at work tomorrow (Monday) - again, from home, so that's a relief.  But, I am supposed to go into the office on Wednesday for an all-day meeting, and I can't imagine being able to do that.

From what I have learned, diarrhea is a common problem after surgery.  The booklet we got from our doctor says to call the clinic 248-967-7326 if you are having this issue.

You can try BeneFiber.  Some people need that extra fiber.  But I agree, try calling the Doc.
