Hey everyone still looking for people in my area that would like to form a meetup group to get together starting this spring! We can meet up twice a month for movies, bowling, eating, walking, shopping, support and advice!

Topic: Any re-gain support groups out there??
If not, there needs to be. Most Docs don't want to start something like this do to how it might make their office/surgery look. So many are suffering alone trying to lose re-gain. I found an online group that is wonderful, but would like some face to face support.
Pre surgery 300 lbs, lowest after 175 lbs, re-gain highest 249 lbs, current 211 lbs, goal 170 lbs!

I had surgery with Dr.P on November 17, I didn't have any complications, except for the Nausea and my acid reflux. Goodluck

Dr. Pleatman did my VSG 4/21/11. I had a very easy recovery and if it weren't for the fact that I was so tired all the time I could have gone back to work after 3 days. I took a whole week. Never filled my script for pain meds--I was fine without.

If so, what are your experiences? BTW, I am fine with his bedside manner. My surgery is scheduled for March 15 (beware the ides of march!). :)

I had my surgery at U of M and was very happy with everyone and how it all went, I had some great nurses and felt very well taken care of.

I went thru GHP in Grand Rapids. Dr. Foote did my sleeve on April 16, 2010..I'm almost 2 yrs postop. The office staff is great, very helpful, and they have wonderful support groups there as well. I have nothing but good things to say about their office.
Regarding the 2 wk preop diet..mine was not a liquid diet though..i purchased high protein foods from their office for those 2 wks. Not sure if they've changed that or not?
