A Day Of Swimming

I have had the BEST time today !!! Arlies, Em & Arlies' sissy Shirley came out today for a swim. Alex & Em had the best time playing. Those girls could've stayed out there all evening if given half the chance. Shirley dangled her feeties & dipped out bug-a-lugs, while Arlies & I floated around with our noodles catching up on some I hope they had a wonderful time, so they'll be back for more fun in the sun !!! Hey Kimberly, Alex (my daughter) is 12 & Em (Arlies' daughter) is 14. I know mine was whipped. However, she did have enough energy to go & spend the night with her Granny. I'm sure Em was tuckered out also. We were simming at my house & gossiping on the steps of the pool We didn't talk about anyone from here Nothing bad anyways. Just where everyone is in their journey. Well, I'm beat down. I'm gonna answer a few more messages & get my tail in the bed. I should sleep like a baby tonight. Tammy

Hiya Tams!! Swimming huh?? Oh yeah thats my favorite, I was swimming too with the 5 yr old and I am WORN out. I anticipate being asleep before her though. She has all of her dad's energy while I'm an ole'lady Today started out with a WOW moment. Went to the store to just look around and decided I needed another pair of black slacks for work, since at this point I am in dire need of a new wardrobe and none of the black slacks I had fit any more. So I picked up one rayon pair, love the feel of those, and checked it out. A $38.00 pair reduced to $8.50. OH I could not say now. It was a size 14 and I said to myself, naahhhh I'll get them anyways, they may not fit but they will in a month or two hopefully! When I got them home, I did my usual " let me try them on to see how many inches before I can close them and zip them " routine. I was SHOCKED and happy and excited and almost crying when I put them on and they zipped right up and buttoned. OMG!! So after all this, the POOL seemed an excellent idea, to get right on the subject of exercise to get into the next size ( greedy? heck yeah! ) and my little one and I brought some dive-sticks and goggles to the pool. The deepest spot in the pool is 12 feet and I tried to stay around the 6-8 ft depth, knowing I had never before been able to get all the way to the bottom of the pool ( y'all know from cooking, fat floats, I couldn't get that far down LOL ) One of the kids threw a stick and it kept right on moving down into the deep end. I was like "oh darn that won't go home with us" but I said, well, let me try it. LO AND BEHOLD!! I made it all the way down without a problem. That was my second WOW moment for the day. I know I'm on my way to goal now. And I'm so excited. I might be slower in losing, but I am steady and getting there!! You girls, all the pre ops and post ops, just keep your faith. Persistence and patience are the key here. Took me almost 1 year to get to this point, I figure I have another year to lose those last 28 lbs. NEVER GIVE UP!!! AND THE WOW MOMENTS WILL START COMING!! Oh Andie it sounds like you had a GREAT day. I hope that you have many more of them. That was a great mark down on those pants. Wish I could find those deals. Maybe one day. Right now though, I never go into a store to look for clothes. If I can't get it online, I don't get it. Hurts to walk all over Wal-Mart & the Mall. I think that we were in the pool for about 4-5 hours. Maybe longer. So, I'm going to bed. Talk later. Tammy

Sounds like a fun day in the sun!! And today was right for swimming. Wish I would have came out and enjoyed the fun. I know you said that I am invited, but........ today I was so busy... cleaning house, cooking, visiting my dad, then had company tonite.. I almost didnt find time to eat supper. And I am not joking. It was a great day out there. Hot, but fun. You should have been here !!! It was way more fun than cleaning But, visiting with your Dad had to make up for all the house work & cooking. It tickles me when my Daddy & Momma comes over to visit. No time to eat ??? Huh ??? Are you kidding ??? That is hard to think about !!! I'll be glad when I have that issue !!! Right now, food still kinda rules my thoughts & plans. I am sure hoping to go to the Picnic !!! Sounds like it is going to be FUN !!! Tammy

Please tell me I was the hot subject of conversation!! Hehehe... I wish I had a pool to get in. It was terribly hot today. Almost unbearable! And its only May. Can you imagine July?? Ugh! Make room for me in that pool cause I am coming over!

UT-OH Were your ears burning ? What did Arlies tell you ??? Swimming pools are nice to have !!! You should have one Girl !!! It was HOT but the water made it perfect out there. I should have taken pictures !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had on Johnny's sunglasses, & a t-shirt over my S.S. that is thin & "holey". I loves my holey shirt !!! Even though it has been on the "rag" list for a loooonnnngggg time. I'm as bad as Linus & his blanket when it comes to that shirt. That tells you how bad it is. Talk of throwing it away is a fight starter. Arlies had on my sunglasses & Johnny's (I been workin on the railroad) Hat. We each had "noodles" & We were living it up ! You should have been there !!! There is plenty of room & your Em would have had a great time with the girls.

I sure wish I could have been there with you all. That sounds like fun! I am at my sisters in Fort Walton Beach, but no one seems to want to go to the beach, so we are pretty much just hanging out. It has been a nice weekend though. It is always good to see someone that you have not seen in a while when you are losing weight like I am. I have been complimented so many times, I think my head is swelling. Can't wait to meet you Tammy!! Rhonda
