Diane told me to "post, post, post", so I am! I know Sonya won't mind me sharing this, but she told me something last night that was profound and life changing for me! I'm a P.K. (Preachers Kid - and No, we're not the worst! ) and with a name like Joy, you can imagine how many times I've heard "I've got the Joy, Joy, Joy", "Joy comes in the morning", "Joy to the World", etc... As a child I hated my name. When I grew up, I came to love it and always thought it was neat that it meant Jesus 1st Others 2nd Yourself Last Although I must admit I felt like I never really lived up to my name! What Sonya told me last night has changed my outlook and I KNOW I can do what my name means. Her doctor is a Christian and he shared with her and he believes that Jesus didn't intend for it to be that way. Jesus took care of Himself. When He was tired He rested (they found Him in the bottom of the boat sleeping) when He was overwhelmed by people, He got away, He prayed daily, and He walked everywhere He went. J.O.Y. is spelled horizontally (not vertically) and for the rest of my life, will stand for "Showing Jesus to Others through Yourself". If we don't take time for ourselves and take care of ourselves, no one around us will have J.O.Y.! The scripture "Be still and know that I am God" came to my mind. Don't feel guilty for taking time to take care of yourself (We have a bad habit of that as women). Pray, Rest, Walk, Be still and know He is God and know that doing that is an important part of being able to show Jesus to Others through Yourself! God bless and J.O.Y. to you all!! JY

Well, It is a real "Joy" to have you here with us. Sorry... I couldn't help myself. Thats OK tho... You can refer to me as Tammy-T-Tadpole or Sybil Sybil is what I'm called when I'm havin a problem of "not biting my tongue" & my Great Uncle & his family always called me the other as a child. Yes, I was thrilled about tadpoles... OK. Don't know why... But I still am All P.K.'s are not that bad. My 12 yr old daughter is sweet on one right now. He's an angel.... So far. His parents are just as watchful as I am over their kids as I am mine tho. We believe in keeping them in line. I'm so glad that you have posted this. It really grounded & reminded me as to what is really important. I already knew it, but sometimes things lead us away from the path that we have been on & should stay on. Thank you for this post.... I'll be in my corner & Thanking God for sending you to me today, if you should need me. Tammy

I've been trying and trying to see you girl! Whenever I go into Wal-Mart I look for you, but I never see you (you're getting too thin to even see! )! I've been keepin up with you the same way. I'm so proud of you!! I'm not that much to be proud of, but I hope I will be! Any tips or advice? I can't wait to see you too! (I hope I will be able to see you! Make sure and not stand side ways!) Thanks! JY
