HELLO EVERYBODY, Granjan is BACK! Well, sort of. I am at my daughters house, not the one I am staying with,and I have been reading about all my dear friends here at OH.com. Praise God everyone is okay. I still do not have lights, phone or computer access. My 83 year old mother is with me, so I have been trying to make sure she is doing okay. My daughter's husband is a doctor and he is working with the Red Cross here in Brookhaven at the shelters, so I think my daugther has been glad to have us there with her and her 2 little boys. I couldn't get to my house until Tuesday. I have 13 trees in my front yard and not a one fell. But my 3 neighbors across the street all had trees in their homes. Two of them are going to have to start over, from the ground up. But, not one of them were hurt. This has truly put life into the proper perspective for me and my children. Well, let me tell everyone about my journey. I only needed a release from my cardiologist, whom I was to see at UMC in Jackson on Tuesday, August 31. Well, as you may have guessed, I didn't keep my appointment! I still haven't heard on the news if my hospital or my doctors office are still,there or not.you see the doctors office is in Covington, LA and the hospital is in Slidell, LA. Now, I am not sure the office is there or not to receive the FAX from my doctor in Jackson. Only time will tell. I have been so depressed since today it looks like I still will not have my surgery anytime soon. I really have been wondering just how many roadblocks have to come my way before I think maybe I am not to have the surgery? I will just have to wait and see what happens next! I am sorry this has been so long, but I don't know when I may be able to get back on. All take care and know that you are in my prayers. Thank God, we have the most wonderful family on Obesity Help. Just wanted to let you know that we loaded up on lots food and gas and headed back to Richland, MS from my Mother in-law's in Texas. Just got home tonight and it is so good to be back - power is back on but still having trouble with phones. Hope everyone else is doing well! Thanks for keeping up with all of us - you are a doll!
