I HAVE 5 DAYS BEFORE SURGERY.DO YOU THINK I WILL BE ALL RIGHT.CHEWING GUM

I have no idea about the gum but I wanted to wish you the best of luck with surgery. With all the craziness going on I didn't realize your surgery was right upon you. I want you to know that I will be praying for you. Best of luck Becky

Fredrica; I would think it would be o.k. they told me at the nutricianist meeting that you couldn't after the surgery. It may help with the hunger. Good luck on your surgery. Stephanie

Chewing gum pre-op is fine... Chewing gum post-op is fine as long as you arent like me and have a tendency to swallow it. If you have a tendency to swallow your gum - DONT chew it post op. They say its forbidden but the reason is only because if you swallow it your little hole will be stopped up and it can require surgery to fix it.

Hey Lady- I was looking through the MS forum and saw you were from Canton, MS. Actually, Im from Gulfport but my mom lives in Hattiesburg and I have alot of family in Jackson. My plans are to move to Jackson after surgery. I've been to Canton numerous times when I was going to school @ Hinds. I'm so excited about your surgery in 5 days. Mine is scheduled for Oct 11, 2005! Unfortunately I couldnt get insurance to pay for my surgery so Im self pay. We need to keep in touch...so we can motivate each other!! I know everything will go well with you.. Holla at me soon!
