I am having so much back pain lately. The last few days have been awful. The only thing that helps - besides Darvocet - is to lay on the heating pad. So that's where I've been. It's driving me nuts. I usually feel good in the morning, but this morning the pain is still there. Not sure what's going on, but going to have to do something soon if this doesn't go away. I hate back pain. On a positive note.... I hit the century club today! WOOHOO!! Started surgery at 235, weighed in this morning at 234.5! I'm happy, but in too much pain to be too excited! On another note - And forgive me if I'm showing my blond roots - but do we have a short rib on the left side? I've got what feels like a bone under my ribs, and it's tender. Anyone else? I've never felt my ribs before! So this is new to me. Not sure why it's tender around it though. I appreciate anyone who can shed some light on it. HUGS Kimberly

I was fixing to say that there is no way you weight 234... You are too tiny for that. I had to make sure I wasnt reading an old post. Congrats on the 100 pound loss. You look great.

Kimberly, I also have had back and hip pain through out the year since my surgery. I think it must be because of the shifting of body weight because I also have lost over 100 lbs. I have been to physical therapy and they don't recommend heating pads. They used ice packs on me and I received much better results than with heat. I hope that helps. Carol.

Carol, Thanks for the tip - I'll try it and see what happens. Seems the heat is not working so well anymore, so maybe the cold will. When I went to the chiropractor years and years ago, I remember they used both, but I don't remember what order. HUGS Kimberly
