I've seen Dr. Dolan he's approved me, he said he thought I was a good canidate for surgery. I've got my appt with the Nut. on the 27 and fiting with referal management/tricare to get my psyh. appt. They've closed Life Skills (Psyh. on base) to only active duty, so I'm having to go off base. The lady at referral management is being great about everthing, and resubmented everything to tricare and if we don't hear anything by next Tuesday afternoon we are to call her. so hopefully something will get worked out. I'm hoping for surgery in July but the way things are going it will prolly be in August.
One of you mentioned having rashes under your panni. A few years before I had my RNY I had lost around 40 pounds and had skin hanging down in front which I eventually had cut off. I had rashes, too. However - this is going to sound wierd but I swear it worked - I found that I could get rid of the rash by slathering it in plain, unsweetened, unfruited actively-cultured yogurt. I'd rub it on there at night, then the next day the rash would be gone (of course, I took a bath the next morning). I think the little beasties in the yogurt ate the yeast or whatever was causing the rash. (I suppose cultured buttermilk would work, too.) Anyway, I sleep alone (alas) (well, ok, if you don't count cats), so I didn't have to worry about a husband's getting grossed out. I suppose if you do have a sleeping partner you could rub it on the rash, then cover it with a bandage or something. I'm about 5 weeks out and exercising and doing well, btw. Take care. Love this forum. Marcia
