Topic: RE: What's cooking this Friday???

Usually nothing is cooking at my house on Friday nights.  LOL.  My son usually is out with his girlfriend or over at her house.  So, that just leaves me, John, and Catherine.  Catherine (6) usually likes for me and her daddy to take her out somewhere.  We usually let her decide where that is going to be.  So, who knows what we will have tonight!!

Nothing is cooking at our house today...lol! I cooked breakfast, scrambles eggs w/cheese and sausage and that is it for today. I have cooked every night this week except Wednesday, we had leftovers. It is "fend for yourself" night at our house. My son and his girlfriend are going out so it will just be hubby and I. I am thinking Subway would be a great option. I really like their oven roasted chicken salad. I haven't had one in a while. Need to add more salads back into my diet. Hope everyone has a good Friday and a great weekend.

I had a great day today.  I am home relaxing right now.  I plan to go for a walk later as I did not go to the gym at lunch today.  No classes during the day on Thursdays that are good.  So, I have to make myself do my exercise after I get home which is hard.  LOL.

Dr. Avara put a Realize Band in me this past Tuesday.  I've been very happy with him and all the support from his office during this journey.  Please feel free to send me a message if you'd like more information.

Thanks,

Jen

Oh ok.  I just dont know why others seems to be having such problems then.  I mean when I read over my material it is very cut and dry they will pay for wls of course you have to be approved and everything documented.  which that is pretty much with any ins IF they are gonna pay.  lol lol  It also is very cut and dry that it WILL pay for the skin removal but again everything has to be documented.

I have Tricare Prime, we utilize the Air Force Base physicians, but get referrals out to see who we want to see when we need to.  When my initial referral was done to Dr. Clements, it was written up as General Surgery - Morbid Obesity with multiple co-morbidities....I was approved up-front.  I talked to Tricare about two weeks ago to see if a follow up psyche appointment was approved and they told me yes and that I had been approved for surgery.  So, I am thinking I was approved out the gate.  My Primary Care Physician (who just quit his job at the base) told me that getting contouring done will be a snap, but it has to be documented (i.e. infections of the skin, rashes, etc.)

Just wondering which Tricare you have.  We have Tricare Reserve Select and in my book it says it pays on pretty much everything wls wise.  Revisions skin removal but I have heard others say that Tricare is horrible when it comes to paying on WLS.  Of course when I had my surgery I was self pay cause hubby was not in the Nat'l Guard then.  He is not active duty so that is why we have the Reserve Select.  I am anxious to get some more weight off and then have the skin removal and hope I dont have problems with them.  Again welcome here and best of luck!
