Pine Grove is the mental health facility/hospital here in Hattiesburg.  It is near the Hattiesburg YMCA.  It is on Veterans Memorial Drive.  The next meeting is on April 14th at 6:30. Melissa

The sublinguals dissolve under the tongue and get directly into the bloodstream bypassing our digestive tract.  They work like the nytroglycerin tablets they give people for heart attacks.  You simply place it under the tongue and let it dissolve.  You don't chew it or swallow it.  They worked better for me than the infections.  I just do 1 to 2 per day and it keeps my levels high and consistant.  With the injections, by the time the next one was due I was feeling sluggish.  My counts are higher now than when I did the injections.  Give them a try.  It can't hurt.  They say you can't overdose on B-12.  But when you don't have enough it sure causes problems.  LOL. Hi Melissa... What is the B-12 sublinguals? I was taking the B-12 pills by mouth. What I don't understand if our bodies and new stomachs don't absorb the B-12 pills, then why on earth would they put us on them in the first place?? Just doesn't make much sense to me...  I just wonder if these sublinguals will work just as well as the B-12 injections... Thanks for the info! Karine

Topic: Joining a support group in or around Jackson
I was wondering if there are any Support Groups in or around the Jackson area that I could look into becoming a part of. I live in Crystal Springs which is about 25 miles south of Jackson. I had a gastric bypass in May of 2007 and have done quite well. The only thing is that I had the surgery in LA and my Dr is in LA. Does that prohibit me from being in a group with patients who used facilities and doctors in MS? I would really like to meet and get to know some people who have experienced what I have been through and what I am going through. Most people do not understand what I have done and I become quite aggitated when it is suggested that I took the easy way out and that I will gain it all back. It would be nice to have support from people like me. Let me know if any one is interested.

Topic: RE: Gaining Weight 6 1/2 years postop
There is a DS board on here.  And it is very active.  And I believe they have some people over there that are 6 to 8 years out that may can offer some really good advice.  The Mississippi board is really slow these days.  Not too many people posting.  But that DS forum is hopping and really helpful to each other.  Just go to forums at the top and it is the second one listed.   I had Rny and don't know too much about the DS.  One thing I have learned from the DSers though is that they don't absorb the fats but they do absorb the sugars.  I think that is right anyway.   LOL. Good luck to you.  I hope you get back on track and get some good helpful info. Melissa
