I shot this protein myself!
This was taken two weekends ago after a night of bowfising. These are exotic white amurs that the resovoir owner wanted removed so native fish could be restocked. I shot these off a boat with my bow and arrow. The arrow was attached to a fishing reel mounted to the bow. Just thought I would share!! I just learned that there is a men's message board. Glad to have found it!! (deactivated member)

Seeing your post brings back memories of my youth. I never went bow fishing, but I'd see bow fishers on the Raritan River in central NJ going after carp in season. They'd be in waders just below a flood control dam (about 3 ft high with water flowing over it). I guess it's easy to make up for the paralax with the water considering how big the target is.

Good shootn' Matt....they look like a breed of carp....are you going to eat them or should I say have you ever eaten any of them yet? And if you did, how did they taste?....can't say I'd eat any of them, but who knows maybe they are good!
