I'm hoping to find that person!
Your refrigerator sound like ours. 2 year old LG needed a new compressorlast fall. From what I read, they replace it with the same compressor that has known problems.
I have an old GE refrigerator from late 40's early 50's in my garage that is still running!

I don't care what part of the Country you are in - good help is hard to find!! Once you find somebody that does good work you keep them going as long as you can! If not next week, soon after, I have a WOMAN who will be doing the demo/remodel on the gable above my garage door. She has done good work for my mother and brother replacing wood decks and adding wheelchair ramp at Mom'. Either I've got a broken/rotted header, steel to hold the bricks was not bolted into header and she thinks the brick straps from wall into the bricks were left out. Regardless after 30 years the sagging and bulging out has gotten worse to the point I'm fearful it will all come tumbling down on its own. Not going back in with brick above door but siding. Lowe's is going to love me by the end of the year. Had to replace refrigerator this week too. Not going to drop $1400 to have compressor replaced on an appliance I already have replaced one on once before. X2 had to have huge ass stainless steel, French drawer freezer. New one is black, fits the space that was designed for a fridge and holds everything that was in the old one. Win-win.

Man has this summer flown by. Hard to think that next week is Labor Day weekend already. House is in need of painting. I have one side scraped (did that in June) but have been putting it off. I can't find a single high school or college kid that wants to earn some extra money. I may have to settle doing it myself, and just the scraped side this year.
Cooler weather here, so that may motivate me :-)
Good week to all!

Yeah it is! Started mowing yard yesterday along highway outside of fence to pretty it up after state contract mowers had been through day before. Heat, grass, dust and wearing overalls instead of shorts about two hours is all of the yard work I wanted! Crap will be there tomorrow. I have seen hotter and drier Summers here by comparison this one has been pretty mild and wet. Have not had to water the yard closest to the house.

A better week also.
The dog days of Summer are here. Doing yard work can be brutal, but usually gives satisfaction on the scale at least for a day or two :-)
Good week to all!

I miss following school buses waiting for people to pass them! First couple weeks of school lots of warnings after that.........
Seems like they start earlier than back "in the day" but get a lot of break time for Holidays, Fall and Spring breaks etc.
