Technically it is tomorrow but EVERYDAY is coffee day here!
Few upsets yesterday. MSU lost to Tennessee in OT, Oregon had to have 2 OT's to get past Penn State, Alabama beat GA, and Ol' **** upset LSU. Micah Parsons and the Packers come to Dallas tonight.

State won! Cowboys lost!
Little Dooey bar-be-que had too much fat and may have gotten a bit too much sauce and the sugar it contained.
Good exercise on stadium stairs though. Still feeling it.
Dog ready to come home and there is laundry to do and bills to pay.

Almost can start painting. Still a few more boards on front porch to replace. Ladies did great on garage door framing. Garage door company supposed to rehang garage door tomorrow pending replacement panel being available.
Interesting CFB yesterday. GA/TN, Notre Dame/A&M, Ga Tech/Clemson. MSST cleaned Alcorn State's clock 63-0! Road tripping next week to watch Northern Illinois and get some Little Dooey's bar-be-que.
Short week this week because of trip and what's left has filled up already!

Glad you found yourself a painter that probably has some skills from working on his rentals. Instead of vinyl siding to replace the bricks over the garage going back in with press board looking siding that will have to be painted occasionally but will hold up better than vinyl to the weather.

Little positivity this week.
Week has been busy! With the "Ladies *****novate" redoing the framing on garage door. Sometimes the right "man" for the job is a wo"man". These ladies are some hands!
Cowboys lost Thursday night, but Mississippi State took the game back from Arizona State with a TD pass followed up by an interception to go 2-0. Imagine the noted alumni have broken out the checkbooks to contribute to the $250,000 fine coming for storming field after game. Eddie Robinson would be proud of his team, Grambling, for at least getting to the stadium. 70-0 ass kicking on the road is a shellacking!

Think most of the loss was in snot from my nose and burning the calories to blow/hack same.
Yesterday opening day in college football! Thank you Ohio, Florida State, for toppling Texas and Alabama. Mississippi State had intrastate win against Southern Mississippi.
This week is going to be a large, hairy, spiteful woman type week. Major house repair project gets started and throw in some doctor appointments and the calendar got FULL!

Sears appliance tech is the one with estimate and was the person who put the first replacement on. According to him the compressors should have been 220v but to "make it easier on the consumer" they are 110v. Don't have to change the 220 receptacle or plugs out when you move. There is a transformer to up the voltage but they are too light weight for the task at hand. Compressor winds up not getting juice it needs. So he says. He stated to go as inexpensive as you can go and still get what you need/want. Stay away from the LG's, and Samsungs in particular. Anything without a computer what he recommended.

I don't care what part of the Country you are in - good help is hard to find!! Once you find somebody that does good work you keep them going as long as you can! If not next week, soon after, I have a WOMAN who will be doing the demo/remodel on the gable above my garage door. She has done good work for my mother and brother replacing wood decks and adding wheelchair ramp at Mom'. Either I've got a broken/rotted header, steel to hold the bricks was not bolted into header and she thinks the brick straps from wall into the bricks were left out. Regardless after 30 years the sagging and bulging out has gotten worse to the point I'm fearful it will all come tumbling down on its own. Not going back in with brick above door but siding. Lowe's is going to love me by the end of the year. Had to replace refrigerator this week too. Not going to drop $1400 to have compressor replaced on an appliance I already have replaced one on once before. X2 had to have huge ass stainless steel, French drawer freezer. New one is black, fits the space that was designed for a fridge and holds everything that was in the old one. Win-win.

Yeah it is! Started mowing yard yesterday along highway outside of fence to pretty it up after state contract mowers had been through day before. Heat, grass, dust and wearing overalls instead of shorts about two hours is all of the yard work I wanted! Crap will be there tomorrow. I have seen hotter and drier Summers here by comparison this one has been pretty mild and wet. Have not had to water the yard closest to the house.

I miss following school buses waiting for people to pass them! First couple weeks of school lots of warnings after that.........

Seems like they start earlier than back "in the day" but get a lot of break time for Holidays, Fall and Spring breaks etc.

Ozzy, Hulk et al. Grim Reaper on OT!
Blaming the uptick on pushing/pulling on tractors. Local rage for those in need of a tractor couple of years ago was an India made Mahindra. New local dealer and plenty in stock. Not as pricey as some of the other brands. We wound up buying a used one from the couple who worked for my mother before they moved to Arkansas and did want to move it. Local dealer went bankrupt and closed so closest one is 40+ miles away. This thing despite being just five years old is in need of some TLC. Work on it some more between doctor visits this week.
Stay cool, stay hydrated and have a Great Week!!

Cruise ship calories don't count against you! Yeah, right.
Wasn't a matter of finding that many missing people but updating their missing persons list and getting people off of the list that had been accounted for. One part of the family cannot reach "Bud and Sissy" and report them missing when they are at "Mary Lou and Thelma Liz's place 100 miles away and have been for a week. All takes time to work through.

Cutting out alcohol alone saves a bunch of calories! Brain cells too!

Today is the opening day of NFL training camp! Dak is back and have new head coach. Same owner/GM.
Good news on flood front. Number of missing dropped to 3 from nearly 100. Due diligence tracking people down found the missing ones and confirmed their location and wellbeing.

Despite a few Cheetos still little dip on scale. That I will attribute to two days of yard work. Wife not happy with her digits so we are back to basics. Walking the driveway in the evenings.
Keep praying for Texas. Barely scratched the surface on clean up and recoveries slow in coming. Watching the finger pointing makes me want to toss TV's out and use them for target practice! How do you predict a "500 year" flood?

You'd figure mowing the yard twice in one week, Monday and yesterday, would have been more beneficial on the scales. Sweated enough for it to have been!

Happy Father's Day or Happy Doggy Daddy Day whatever is applicable to you!
Rain, rain, rain describes last week. Mowing this week going to be double trouble because of missing a week.
PCP visit went well. All the numbers are running where they should be on labs. Poor guy wearing brace on left wrist where he broke wrist when falling to get to a glass heirloom vase before it fell. Vase never made it to the floor, but he did.

I did something right this week!
Go see PCP tomorrow. Going to ask him for second opinion and he'll tell me I'm still ugly!
Working on putting football road trips together for this fall! May not be able to do more than 2 or 3 because of finances but being fully retired again I have my weekends back and hopefully MSU has a better season than last year. Although we were pulling for Texas Tech to win; Texas won the Women's College World Series for the first time in school history. Would have been same scenario for Tech had they won.
