Well, there are excellent surgeons in Mexico, (I used Dr Ramos Kelly) I have known him since 2005 and had surgery 02.28.2018 and now I have reached my goal weight. I have nothing but good things to talk about him, he is a FACS, IFASMBS and Funding Member of the Mexican College for Obesity Surgery and Metabolic Disease.

I've never heard of Dr. Carmelo. Where does he practice, which city?

I recommend Mexicali Bariatric Center for WLS. They're highly regarded on OH and other bariatric websites.

There are way too many great surgeons in Mexico to choose one with mixed reviews. I would not use Almanza. A class action lawsuit was filed against him this year.

did you find the link to the lawsuit yet? Still waiting...

Hello,

I have the same concern as you. I've heard the same about Pompa and now I'm debating between Dr. Mario Camelo or Dr. Jalil Ilian. Half of my friends used Dr. Camelo and the other half did Dr. Ilian and they're all happy with their results. I did my research on both surgeons and everything seems to be legit with great reviews.

Good luck! Please advice after your decision.

the only one of theses I know snything about us dr Illian. That is probably who I would use.

Did some one had surgery with Dr. Mario Camelo. I'm new at this, I've been struggling with my weight all my life and I've been thinking for 2 years on weight loss surgery. My insurance does not cover it and now I'm ready to do it. I'm planning to book my surgery in Mexico with Dr. Camelo, but I would like hear more options

Hello,

I have been narrowing down my search for Mexican surgeons and I am struggling. Please, can you tell me the good and the bad on these doctors?

Doctor Enrique Saucedo

Dr. Pompa

Dr. Jalil Illan

Thank you.

the only one I'm ow anything about is pomp's. She is known to make weird hourglass shaped sleeves that later have to be revised. I would not use her for sure.
