Hey Girls,
Need some help. My biggest worry about getting banded is the tolerance to certain foods after. I realize everyone is different and I may be able to eat certain foods that other people cannot but after doing alot of reading on this and other forums I found out that alot of the popular food sare: pasta, potatoes, roast beef, pork chops and salads. What scares me is that I am a picky eater and these are all foods I eat. If I can't eat these foods, what do I eat....hehe. I am NOT a big fish eater but I do like fish & chips, if I was to buy the unbattered haddock in the stores, what kind of recipes could I make up (I realize that I am gonna have to eat some type of protein since it looks as though the rest of my meat category will be gone
. Does anyone have any tasty (band tolerable) recipes they want to share?
I have been doing alot of looking online for recipes and with most of my foods possibly being taken away from me, it looks like I will be living on soups and broths forever...LOL

I eat pasta, salad, beef, pork, salad (but I chew them all very well). I have a tough time with bread. Sometimes is ok and sometimes not. NO FISH N CHIPS !!!!!! you can swallow it but you will gain weight. I eat chilli, lasagna, goulash, mac n cheese ( all very carefully but I eat them) and in proper portions as well.
I eat nuts, popcorn, etc even though they are slider foods, i have them from time to time.
It's a trial and error thing. You can't say you won't be able to eat them, because I do. HOpe this helps. patsy

On the lapband forum there are two good recipe contributors, eggface and Jean M. You will find good recipes there. Lots of people post recips at that forum.
