signing with surgeon

Just curious does anyone know how long after you sign off with surgeon does it take and when do you get opti fast do you get it same day you meet with surgeon or is that what you wait for

I signed off with Dr B March 30th, got the call about a week later for my surgery date of May 10th and she also gave me my next appointment for April 17, and that is when I got the info for the shakes....have you been able to "try" the peanut butter bars??  Sometimes they have a few extra that they give out to try....when you order the shakes, really think about it...I LOVE choclate, but by the end of the 2 weeks I was really wishing I had ordered more of the vanilla for breakfast....I would put in my bullet with a few ice cubes and a few drops of flavor, (coconut, almond or banana) and then in the freezer for a while....the first 2 days were hard...but by the end of the 2 weeks it was really easy..filling and not bad at all...well for me anyway....Drink the shakes as slow as you can to spread them out and I usually kept a bar for the evening....ANYWAY...congrats on getting this far and keep us all posted....

no I have not tried any but I love peanut butter so I will definately get those I agree about the vanilla as I like chocolate but I don.t love it  I will probably order some of both just to mix it up

AND if you have already signed off, don't wait too long...twice I have called to see about something and the nurse has told me "Oh yeah you are on my list of people to call...so I was almost doing HER a favor!!!"  Anyway...if you haven't heard from anyone is 8-9 working days, I would just call the office to ask...can't hurt...and might help you out with a date....

By the end of the 2 weeks I wasn't even getting in all the stuff I was "allowed"...I wasn't hungry and didn't want to "drink" anymore....it is hard the first 2-3 days...then gets easy from there on...

For me I signed off Dec, 2, 2011 and had surgery Feb 14, 2012 so about 2 1/2 months.  You should get the information on how to order your stuff  just a couple weeks before your surgery date, it comes real fast.

I had 1/2 bars and 1/2 boosts, i didn't try the shakes from the company, but just my suggestion, if you are a big water drinker, you might want to do like 3/4 bars and 1/4 shakes, you might miss the "chewing" part if you only get shakes, i had really enjoyed the bars, except they are a bit dry, but drinking lots with them it's all good.

If it was me, and had to redo it, i would have prob had 100% bars, as don't forget, for 2-3 weeks after surgery you will need lots of shakes to keep ya going, and you will most likely get sick of them, so if you do 2 weeks of shakes before and then a couple weeks of liquids.....just keep that in mind...

i did not have surgery in moncton, i was in bathurst but just to add my note, i "signed" off for surgery in oct and my surgery was in may. so not too long. you are in the home stretch for sure...
