Surgery on July 16th!

Hello NC Folks~ I am not sure if I have ever posted here or not..  The past few months have been crazy hectic trying to get all of my pre-op "homework" completed.  Well, all that work has paid off.  I found out last week that my surgery will be on Monday, July 16th!   I started my liquid diet today.  So far so good.  Advice and prayers are appreciated!  :D  Is there anyone else out there who had surgery at Mercy in Charlotte?  I am excited and nervous and ready to get this ball rolling.  I cannot wait to be on the loosers side!

Congratulations on your surgery date!  The liquid diet is hard, but the first 3-5 days are the hardest, it gets easier after that.  Sugar free gum and constan****er intake helped me make it through that.  I was allowed 4 Slim Fasts a day and nothing else bu****er. So far so good today on the liquid diet.  My patience is running a little thin, but I have not been over hungry.  I know part of this is breaking old habits of eating all the time..  and that is the worst part (just the feeling that I should be eating.. LOL0

I have struggled with that more than I thought I would.  You just feel like you should be eating, or eating more, or differently.  That's why I think these liquid diets are great, that and they shrink your liver so you're more likely to have it lap instead of open.  Anyway, I found my month of Slim Fast beneficial.
