That is my next step. If I can actually get to talk to my doctor. (I never actually tried.) I hear that some doctors call the insurance company and plead your case for you. That would be great. Gotta pull out the "big guns" here. Will keep you posted. How are things going for you?

Hi, Sorry to hear about your denial, I received one in January, I didn't know about the appeal process, so I started the six months all over again.  I got an approval this time, well in June, I got my hands on some templates that another WLS candidate had used to get his approval.  I kept up with all my documentation, and hand delivered the documentation to the surgeon office.  My approval took two days.  If it is documentation that you need, I have some templates that Cigna approved, that I would be more than happy to share.  Hang in there, keep those positive thoughts flowing and it will work ou. t Always the best Frances

That is so sweet of you. I am up for anything that may help, at this point. I have been beaten down so far I can't find my way up right now. Emotions are getting the best of me. While I am soooo happy for all of my OH family, I still can't help but feel left behind to watch as others succeeed at WLS. I deserve it too, and can't help asking "why not me?" (((((((((((((((MARE))))))))))))))))))))  I don't know what to say.  I am sooooo sad for you.    Is there any way that you could borrow the money to be self pay if this insurance thing doesn't work out??  Does your husband have a 401k plan where he works that maybe he could borrow from that?  Or a second mortgage on your house. I know there are companies that will finance WLS but don't know any of the details.  There has to be something you can do!!  I wish there was something I could do for you.  You are so encouraging to everyone here and so deserving of this.  I just don't understand these stupid insurance companies sometimes.  Maybe one of us will win the lottery and then just give you the money ~ hey, I figure why not dream big, right????  This will work out for you one way or the other.  Just hang in there and keep fighting!!!
