No more Niquil for me... woooo weeeee!!!

Wendy, I don't mind at all I'm a 911 dispatcher, I love the job, just hate the hours! 

 

Your job must be very interesting and at the same time very emotional! Thank you for helping all of the people that you do! Isn't it possible to get on day shift? Probably people who are in those positions arent giving them up or leaving the job...... Wishing you the best!

Yeah you would think that I could get on dayshift since I've been here a while but we have a lot of new dispatchers right now and they need the "expertise"... I feel soooo wanted... lol!!!  Plus I'm trying to buy a house and the shift differential is nice for now.  Gotta weigh out the differences.. ugh!  Anyway, it's not a bad gig.  It can get emotional but not too bad here.  Now, when I worked for San Diego County Sheriff's dispatch that was a lot of stress!!!!!!!!!  I loved it! I hope you're having a great night!

Sure nuff...  Now I'm wondering what I will try when I get home today... lol!  Whiskey?  No... that won't work...  I've tried all the OTC and Perscription stuff...  but I'm a lightweight and even before WLS I took low dosages of meds...  I still take low dosages.  It's weird how our bodies absorb things differently now.  5 years later I'm still trying to figure out what I can take... ugh!   Well sleep well ya'll.... work is getting busy!

**Note to self** Pick up Nyquil...lots and lots of Nyquil.

Many people have strange dreams on Nyquil... I talked to my PCP about this... she said the same thing happens to her!!! It has nothing to do with the WLS... its just something in the nyquil.....  Ever hear about the kids who use to "robo-trip"? Its when they would drink an entire bottle of cough syrup and hallucinate! I grew up in Florida and for a while it was a big problem.... I worked at a grocery store... we had to move the cough syrup to behind a counter.

LOL...  this is my first Robo Trip and it was weird!  lol!  I had a hard time sleeping today but didn't want to take anything again after that.  At least it wasn't a bad dream...  

LMAO at Robo Trip..... yep been there but NOT on purpose!!! When I was on active duty I had a severe cold and was given sudafed and robitussen to take. Well I woke up in the middle of the night and needed some more robotusin and did not want to wake my room mates up, sooo instead of turning on the light and measuring like YOUR SUPPOSE TO I guzzled half asleep from the bottle.... The next day I was soooooo drunk/wasted off that cough syrup and I felt like crap and I had to go to work... OMG I thought I was going to DIE LOLOLOL one of the guys said *yep your on a Robo Trip* and when I read your post Jennifer I about died laughing remembering that very funky experience. I take a hardcore sleeping pill at night and it spins off some really strange dreams.. haha never know where I am sometimes!!!

Hahahahaha!  That is crazy.  I too have crazy dreams when I take nyquil.  But, it is the best.  It really gets me better quick.  I can't really recall any of my dreams, but I know they are crazy.  I sleep so good with Nyquil.  That is the only time I sleep all night.
