Walk From Obesity - Greenville
Nancy,
I checked into something in Jacksonville about a month ago and they told me that nothing was planned at that time. So if you hear of anything please let me know too, I'd love to walk for obesity!
Take care!

Oh my God!!!!!! Ellen, you look so pretty. I am so excited to see your progress. Everytime I see how much you have accomplished, I get a new excitement about my surgery. Sometimes, I second guess myself and wonder if it will work. But, I see how great you have done, and I am ready to go! Tell me more about the walk. I am interested, but I don't know how long I can hang. I would be embarrassed to get started and have to quit, because I am exhausted. Take care Ellen and I can't tell you how proud I am of your accomplishement.
Thanks for the kind words Stacy. I believe that the walk is 3 miles. We have "Team Passwater", set up on the site. If you want to participate, but not actually walk, you can donate to us, or maybe even join it. I don't think the whole team has to walk the whole time. Registration costs $25 per person.
The website is www.walkfromobesity.com. Click on find walk in your area, then look for Greenville under the North Carolina list. We're currently in fourth place on the team section, but that's from the registration only, lol. In any event, it should be a fun morning. It starts at 7:45, so I WILL need coffee!
Take care.

I know. Dr. Chapman has operated on my husband 4 times in the past 2 years (colorectal cancer)
good news is that they got all the cancer and his prognosis is great. We have come to know and love Dr. C and his staff very well.

I'm glad things have gone so well. That's a lot of surgery for one person to have in such a short time!
I would like to make a scrapbook of my WLS journey. Maybe sometime you could post some tips for scrapbooking? I assume that is what luv2scrap means... If that's not good, what are some good resources to learn?
Take care.
Ellen
I have a scrapbook that I have started. I actually just got back from showing it to Jenny Williams, who is the psychologist that did my eval. I had told her about it and she asked me to stop by and show it to her. She loved it and wanted some pictures to show other clients. I'll be happy to send you copies by email. I got all the stuff from Michaels.
Do you scrap?

No, it's not hard. I have not taken any classes. i tape and watch a Scrapbooking show on TLC and have learned a lot on my own. I just finished a huge book on a 20 day trip to Europe I took in 2004. i got stared scrapping when my son was graduating from high school in 1997, very crude compared to what I do now... I'd be happy to help you ! I have LOTS of equipment and stuff.
